Max Day 33
Max was feeling pretty playful today. We were playing around on the couch and Max was getting slightly irritated with my pulling his legs out from under him. He got “mad” and started barking at me, in his cartoon-character-like voice.
Over the course of the last week he has grown increasingly brave. He walks right over Miu without hesitation and just seems to be feeling far more comfortable around the house.
Max Day 24
Anthony happened to sneak in a picture of Max while he was asleep on the couch, is what appeared to be a really comfortable position. Someone had a busy day of eating, running around the living room, chewing on dog bones and terrorizing Miu.
Though this picture did not come out as good as it could have, it still is pretty representative of how Max was feeling today.
Max Day 22
Max hung out in his little doggy cage all day while we took a short trip away from the house. We were gone for roughly 10 hours, which is the longest amount of time that we have been away from Max since he came home with us.
To our surprise he was able to hold it all in until we returned home. No little doggy mess in his cage as he awaited our arrival in order to take care of business. We were quite pleased!
If he keeps this up then he will be on track to be completely housebroken in a couple more weeks.
Max Day 21
Quick picture of Max today. He was not really feeling well so we took him to the doctors office when we went to get Matrix her annual rabies shot. Just took a really simple picture of Max, so as not to bother him too much.
Since we brought Max home he has been shaking his head, as if his ears were bothering him. Turns out that he has a slight infection. We were given some ear drops and a topical creme that are supposed to kill the infection and stop the itching.
When the drugs go in his ears his whole head gets “wet” and he looks really funny. Maybe the next time he takes a bath I will snap some picture of him while completely wet!
Max Day 19
Ever since we brought him home, Max has wanted nothing to do with the stairs. For obvious reasons too – the stairs must look like Mt. Everest to Max.
What is the first way to conquer your fears?
… face them! So, I promptly placed Max smack in the middle of the staircase and watched him shiver and shake like Don Knotts. He hated every minute of it, and probably despises me for doing so. He will get over it though!
When we were done he told me to never do that again otherwise he would be upset and, apparently, I would not like him when he gets upset …
